Why use the Zeta 125S Pipe Laser?

The Zeta 125S Pipe Laser is utilized for its advanced features, particularly its Auto Alignment capability, which sets it apart from the standard Zeta 125 model. The Auto Alignment feature greatly enhances the speed and accuracy of second-day set-ups, eliminating the need for manual adjustments of the laser beam.

During the initial set-up on Day One, the Zeta 125 Pipe Laser is placed inside the pipe, on top of it, or mounted to a trivet assembly. The target and holder are positioned at the opposite end of the pipe, and the desired grade is entered into the pipe laser. The user then manually adjusts the beam left or right until it aligns with the target.

On Day Two, when the set-up needs to be repeated, the same steps are followed, including entering the grade into the pipe laser and ensuring a clear line of sight to the target. To initiate Auto Alignment, the user can either tap the Auto Alignment button on the target holder or select the corresponding icon on the remote control. The green auto alignment LED starts flashing, and the Zeta 125S begins scanning with its main beam.

The Zeta 125S then pivots back to the auto target until it hits the reception field. Once the beam locks onto the bullseye of the Auto Target, the pipe laser is ready for work to commence. This streamlined process saves time and ensures precise alignment, enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of pipe laying and construction projects.

How does Auto Alignment work?

Day One Set-up

  1. Place the Zeta 125 inside, on top or mounted to a trivet assembly.

  2. The target and holder are then placed in the opposite end of the pipe.

  3. The required grade is then entered into the pipe laser.

  4. The user must adjust the beam left or right until the beam is aimed at the target.

 Day two set-up

  1. Steps 1 – 3 are repeated on day two.

  2. Once the grade has been entered into the pipe laser, ensure there is a clear line of sight to the Pipe laser target.

  3. Either tap the Auto Alignment button on the target holder or simply tap the same icon on the remote control.

  4. The green auto alignment LED is flashing and the main beam of the Zeta125s starts to scan.

  5. The Zeta125s pivots back to the auto target until it hits the reception field.

  6. Once the beam has locked the bullseye of the Auto Target, the pipe laser is now ready and work can be carried out.
