Each year around 15 people suffer life changing injuries, after coming into contact with electricity or gas. As a flow on effect major inconvenience can be brought to homes and business with the loss of key services following a strike to underground cables or pipes when digging.
Nulca NZ represents the utility location industry in New Zealand. It is an organisation created to support and grow the capabilities of individuals and organisations involved in locating, tracing, and mapping underground services.
Nulca created the Competency Standard for training utility locators, which has become the industry guideline and basis for accreditation. BuildMax is proud to join Nulca, improving access to crucial information with cutting-edge technologies in locating and marking underground facilities before ground is broken.
Buildmax joins a diverse group of Nulca members, with a common goal of to identify and validate industry best practices to enhance safety and prevent damages to underground facilities and utilities.
